Annelle Forehand Jenkins
September 04, 1932 - April 11, 2011
Annelle Forehand Jenkins, 78, went to be with the Lord on April 11, 2011. Mrs. Jenkins was born in Hiltonia, GA on September 4, 1932. She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Harold Jenkins, her parents, Exie and John Forehand, and her sister, Ernestine Smith.
She is survived by her loving children, Harold Jenkins, Jr., Rebecca Jenny and husband, Ty, Barry Jenkins and wife Lisa, and her loving grandchildren, Christopher Jenny, Erica Jenny, Courtney Jenkins, and Ashley Jenkins, and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Jenkins was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother. She was involved in many activities including yoga, senior aerobics, and square dancing. Mrs. Jenkins was an active member of Grace Church of the Islands as well as a member of the American Business Women's Association. Everyone who knew her loved her good sense of humor and her willingness to always lend a helping hand.
We want to thank her caregivers, Carol Pappas and Linda Sarvis for their devoted attention during her illness. Also, we wish to thank the wonderful people of Compassionate Care Hospice. We will be forever grateful for their service.
Visitation for Mrs. Jenkins will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2011 at the Islands Chapel of Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors.
A Celebration of Annelle's life will be Thursday, April 14, 2011, at 11:30 a.m. at the Islands Chapel of Fox and Weeks Funeral Directors.
Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to Compassionate Care Hospice, 7373 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
